Dear Church Family,

I pray everyone is doing well. I enjoyed the beautiful weather the last few days and cleaned out the garage and shed.

Announcements:

If you are interested in helping with the United Methodist Church hurricane relief efforts, go to the website for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) at https://umcmission.org/umcor/ The full amount of your donation will be given to the relief effort of your choice.

Ladies bible study meets on Wednesday’s at 9am in room 104. Our study is  “The body tithe” there will be extra books for anyone that just wants to drop in. After the study we will be walking around the church to get our exercise in. 

Goshen First Church at 214 S Fifth Street is starting a program “Community Connect” to help community members enjoy time with friends and making new friends.

They will meet on Thursday afternoons (1:00 to 3:00pm) starting on October 24th thru December 5th. 

They are offering:

         Pickle ball for beginners

         Ping Pong

         Gentle Yoga

         Bingo

         Euchre

         Bridge

         Board Games

         Puzzles

Refreshments will be served. They have invited our congregation to enjoy this program. It would be a great way to meet new people especially with the weather getting colder.

Joys and Praises:

Heather D. Allen praises God for her new roommate.

Angie Altenhof rejoices that the Goshen High School marching band did well in Saturday’s competition. She thanks Kim Everingham for the great job she does volunteering with the band.

Angel rejoices that “God is good-all of the time” and that “We can do all things Christ who strengthens us”.

Kim Everingham praises God for the many ways that He shows up in her volunteering with the marching band. She rejoices that the many people involved in the marching band regard each other as family.

Travis rejoices that he and Sylvia have a new apartment, and that life is improving for them.

Danni S. gives praise that her niece in CA called and told her that she is pregnant with her first baby.

Prayer Concerns:

Angie Altenhof asks for prayers for a friend of hers whose 20-year-old son has died.

Heather D. Allen requests prayers for her hip surgery that will take place on November 18th.

Bob Brinson asks for prayers for his eyesight.

Floyd LeMaster requests prayers that the water in his yard in Florida would recede.

Aimee Brinson asks for prayers for her sister Angel who has another infection following abdominal surgery. Also pray for Karlee who has walking pneumonia.

Tanner Giles asks for prayers for healing and peace.

Pray for Dani Walz who has fractured her knee.

Danni S. asks for prayers for her sister, Lori, as she is going to the doctor today to see if the skin graft is doing okay.
