Dear Church Family,

I hope everyone has been enjoying the fall weather and the changing of the leaves. I have 2 nieces in California who have never seen the leaves change.

Announcements:

The Guiding Council will meet Sunday, October 20th immediately following the worship service in the sanctuary. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Ladies Bible Study will not meet tomorrow due to the fact that 3 of us have appointments. We will meet again next Wednesday at 9am in room 104. We will be discussing week 1 and how our new habits and exercising is going. It’s not to late to join, contact me to order “The body tithe” or purchase your own. After the study we will be walking around the church to get our exercise in. If the time frame doesn’t fit your schedule you are welcome to join remotely like Aimee.

If you are interested in helping with the United Methodist Church hurricane relief efforts, go to the website for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) at https://umcmission.org/umcor/ The full amount of your donation will be given to the relief effort of your choice.

Joys and Praises:

Dave Slovinski praises God for the people who helped with the church workday. Much was accomplished!

Jim and Darlene Polhemus rejoice that their special needs nephew has found a new group home.

Patrick praises God for getting out of Work Release!

Praise God for five years of recovery!

Karla Slovinski gives God praise for all the people who attend St. Mark’s and that we can share and celebrate with each other.

Danni gives praise that her acid reflux is under control with the medication and diet and that she doesn’t have to go back until next year for another upper GI.

Prayer Concerns:

Sheila asks for prayers for the people involved in the train fire that occurred in Goshen on Saturday evening.

Angelica Ditmars requests prayers for her mental health.

Ronda Mills asks for prayers for her oldest daughter who has health issues. Also pray for her youngest daughter who continues to struggle with mental health conditions.

Karla Slovinski requests prayers for a co-worker who is having mental health issues.

Kim Everingham asks for prayers for high school marching band students and supporters as there are many competitions coming up.

Heather D. Allen asks for prayers as she meets with a doctor on Wednesday about her hip problems.

Pray for Dani W. who has injured her leg and is on crutches.

Challenge for the Week:

Treat everyone as an equal sister or brother and child of God. In Christ there is no one who is superior or inferior.

Blessings,

Danni Shearer
